German Court Clears Way for LNG Terminal

A German court said that work to complete a Baltic Sea pipeline can proceed while awaiting the outcome of the ongoing case, provisionally clearing the opening of the Mukran LNG terminal this winter, according to Bloomberg.

  • The Court said it will most likely decide the work to build the pipeline does not violate environmental law, according to Bloomberg.
  • Environmental groups were challenging the works on the pipeline due to its effects on seabirds and herring.
