GILT SUMMARY: Gilts are a little firmer early Thursday.
- The Jun 19 Gilt future is up 5 ticks at 126.71.
- The 2-Yr yield is down 0.9bps at 0.744%, 5-Yr is down 0.7bps at 0.936%, 10-Yr
is down 0.4bps at 1.223%, and 30-Yr is down 0.4bps at 1.707%.
- BoE`s Tenreyro said in Glasgow this morning that 'easing more likely if
disorderly Brexit', 'need to see more domestic inflation before hike', 'policy
direction uncertain if disorderly Brexit'. No lasting reaction.
- With Parliament set to vote against May`s Withdrawal Deal a second time next
week, and no progress on negotiations with the EU, rumours filling the vacuum.
- Telegraph Chief Pol Correspondent cited unnamed MPs saying May could delay
votes on `no deal` and 'Art 50 extension' if she loses Tuesday. This would lead
to a 3rd Meaningful Vote and last-minute votes on no deal/extend.
- EU officials have reportedly given the UK 48 hours to come up with fresh
proposals. Atty Gen. Cox takes questions from MPs at 1010GMT.
- Dearth of data; Halifax House Prices saw 2.8% Y/Y increase in 3 months to
February (vs +1.0% consensus).
