GILT SUMMARY: Gilts have been bid throughout the session alongside a correction
in global equities and oil prices.
- The Sep-20 gilt future trades at 135.78, 18 ticks off the day's high.
- The gilt curve has bull flattened with the 2s30s spread 5bp narrower on the
day.
- Current cash yields: 2-year -0.0125%, 5-year 0.0644%, 10-year 0.3175%, 30-year
0.7140%.
- Short sterling futures are broadly 0.5-2.0 ticks lower in whites through
greens.
- The DMO earlier launched the 0.625% Gilt Oct 2050 through syndication, placing
GBP9bn with an order book in excess of GBP70bn. 
- The BoE bought GBP1.5bn each of short-/medium-/long-dated gilts.
- The data calendar is light until Friday when monthly GDP, industrial
production, construction output, international trade and index of services data
for April will be published.
