Gold last trades $5/oz or so softer around.....>

GOLD
GOLD: Gold last trades $5/oz or so softer around $1,709/oz. Spot made a brief
showing above yesterday's high in early Asia-Pac trade but was capped by,
$1,721.0/oz, the Apr 17 high. A above break there would open the way for bulls
to challenge $1,747.4/oz, the Apr 15 high and bull trigger.
- Worth recapping that gold rallied on Wednesday, even as U.S. equity markets
ticked higher, with bullion traders looking to U.S.-Iran tensions, stoked by a
tweet from U.S. President Trump. Broader news flow remains mixed, with the
general downbeat mood re: the health of the global economy, at least in the
immediate term, still well and truly intact.
