Government Looking To Maintain Current FX Gap

  • Argentina’s government is looking to keep the gap between the official FX rate and the parallel exchange rate stable near current levels ahead of the elections later this year, according to a person with knowledge of the matter. (Bloomberg)
    • The government looks to administer the official FX rate to follow the parallel rates and is aiming for the gap to remain near the range between 85% and 95%, the person added.
