LNG

Greater Tortue Ahmeyim (GTA) FLNG looks to be nearing first LNG export according to Kpler tracking.

  • GTA is Africa’s latest LNG export facility and the first for both Senegal and Mauritania.
  • The British Sponsor LNG tanker has returned to the GTA FLNG berthing zone, suggesting preparations for a second loading that could complete the BP-led project’s first full LNG cargo—and its first export.
  • Kpler data show the 173,400 m³ British Sponsor returned to the GTA berthing zone on Mar. 15 but has not yet moved alongside the Gimi FLNG for an STS transfer. It initially loaded 20,642 t of LNG in late February before leaving the berthing zone.
