Greece Approves New LNG Terminal
LNG
The Greece government approved the construction of a floating LNG terminal (FSRU) off Athens in a fast-track process as the country increasingly relies on LNG imports to replace Russian gas imports, the ministry said.
- The new terminal will be located off the coast near Athens and will have a maximum storage capacity of 210,000 cubic meters of gas.
- Last year, Greece announced to build a 0.5bcf/d FSRU at Alexandroupolis by the end of 2023.
