Harris' Economic Policies Popular w/Voters, According To Liberal Think Tanks

Progressive think tanks The Navigatorand Data for Progress have published surveys showing that Vice President Kamala Harris’ policies, “to bring down costs for American families, including banning price gouging on groceries, are viewed overwhelmingly favorably.” (Navigator)

  • Data for Progress finds that, “voters believe that passing legislation to prevent corporate price gouging is the most effective way to lower costs. However, most voters have not yet heard about the work the Biden-Harris administration has done on this issue.”
  • Data for Progress continues: “In another survey from August 2 to 4, voters were asked whether they think corporate price gouging or the policies of the Biden-Harris administration are more responsible for rising prices. Voters select corporate price gouging by a +7-point margin, including Independents by a +14-point margin.”
  • The Navigator notes: “76 percent of Americans say that banning price gouging, including on grocery costs, would help American families, including 61 percent who say it would help “a lot.””
  • The think tank reports appear to support assessments from Democrat strategists suggesting that Harris' economic policies could be political beneficial, despite a sceptical reception from economists.
