There will be 18 full-time participants (and one interim regional Fed president) at this FOMC (and 19 sets of economic projections) this month.
- Since the July meeting, Philip Jefferson was confirmed as Vice Chair of the Board of Governors, with Lisa Cook appointed to a new term (ending 2038) as Governor. They will be joined on the Board by ex-World Bank / Department of Labor economist Adriana Kugler.
- Ex-bank executive Jeffrey Schmid has taken the vacant KC Fed presidency since the July meeting. The St Louis Fed presidency remains vacant.
