Henry Hub Recoups Some Losses

Front month Henry Hub has recouped some earlier losses after falling to an intra-day low of $2.424/mmbtu following reports of a month-long outage at one of the three liquefaction trains at the Freeport LNG export facility following issues after the latest winter storm.

  • The outage at one train for one month equates around seven LNG cargoes according to ICIS analyst Tom Marzec-Manser via X.
  • "One of our refrigeration electric motors at our liquefaction facility experienced an electrical issue that will necessitate a replacement of the motor with an on-hand spare," a company spokesperson said.
    • US Natgas FEB 24 down -3.3% at 2.49$/mmbtu
    • US Natgas JUL 24 down -1.3% at 2.58$/mmbtu
