Holding A Little Cheaper On The Day

US TSYS

Tsys hold to a narrow range with futures still running on sub-par volumes given the time of year.

  • TYH4 -0-05 at 113-05+, 0-01 off the base of a 0-05 range, on volume of ~10K.
  • Bulls need to clear yesterday’s high in the contract (113-12) to open the way higher.
  • Cash Tsy yields are 1.0-2.5bp higher across the curve, bear flattening.
  • Asia-Pac flow was dominated by the 4.5K TY screen sale flagged earlier.
  • FOMC-dated OIS shows ~154bp of cuts through ’24, with the first 25bp cut fully discounted come the end of the March ’24 FOMC.
  • NY data releases include the weekly jobless claims prints and pending home sales data.
  • 7-Year Tsy supply is also due later today, coming on the heels of yesterday’s well-received round of 5-Year issuance.
