- Spain's monthly industrial output declined after Aug's rebound, in line with
expectations, while the annual rate came in weaker than expected. 
- IP fell by 0.8% on a monthly basis, leaving the index at a six-month low. 
- This leaves the annual rate at 0.8%, the lowest reading since March. 
- Sep's m/m downtick mainly stems from a sharp drop of capital goods (-2.6%)
followed by energy (-0.6%), intermediate (-0.4%) and consumer non-durable
(-0.2%) goods. 
- Consumer durable goods (+1.3%) was the only category to reveal a monthly
increase. 
- The annual slowdown was led by a decline in intermediate goods (-1.5%) and
consumer durables (-0.5%), while energy (3.0%), capital (2.1%) and consumer
non-durable (1.7%) goods posted yearly gains.
