Ineos Grangemouth Refinery Restarted 110kbpd CDU

REFINING

Ineos restarted the 110kbpd CDU at the Grangemouth refinery on 24 March after shutting on 16 February according to WoodMac.

  • The 40kbpd cat reformer saw increased activity on 24 March after shutting on 15 February.
  • Increased activity also continued at the 36kbpd hydrocracker and the hydrogen plant since 12 March. The hydrogen plant was shut on 31 March 2023 and the hydrocracker on 4 April 2023.
  • Ineos said on 8 March that recommissioning works would begin but did not specify the units.
