Iraqi January Oil Output in Line with Pledged Cuts

Iraq’s crude oil production stood at 4mbpd in January, Oil Minister Hayyan Abdul Ghani said, in line with the country’s pledged output for 1Q 2024.

  • The country’s oil exports are expected to average 3.35-3.4mbpd in February.
  • Iraq’s crude oil exports stood at 3.338mbpd in January, the lowest level since June, the Iraqi Oil Ministry said earlier this month.
  • Exports from Iraq’s northern fields via a pipeline to the Turkish port of Ceyhan remain halted since March last year.
  • Talks between Iraq, the KRG and oil companies are still ongoing in order to resume Kurdish oil flows via the pipeline to Turkey, the minister said. The issue is to be resolved soon, he added.
