Irish FM-New Air Of Optimism On Brexit Has Created Flicker Of Opportunity

Speaking to RTE, Irish Foreign Minister Simon Coveney states that on Brexit, a 'new air of optimism has created a flicker of opportunity' but that 'we shouldn't get carried away with it'.

  • Says that there is a "genuine effort in this new team in the UK to reach out to Dublin and Brussels".
  • Some have speculated that the UK gov't is keen to get a deal on the Northern Ireland protocol over the line before mid-December.
