STIR: It has been a relatively quiet day in STIR markets with the vast majority
of G3 contracts seeing moves of less than 2 ticks on the day.
- Moves have actually been in contrast to the short end of the govvie curve. The
front 16 quarterly Eurodollar futures contracts are all 0.5-2.5 ticks lower on
the day, but US 2y yields are 0.8bps lower on the day. Short sterling Whites,
Reds and Greens are 0.5-1.5 ticks lower while 2y gilt yields are 0.3bp lower on
the day.
- The Euribor strip in contrast, has drifted a little higher, with most of the
strip 1-1.5 ticks higher on the day.
