It Is Time For The Debates

US TSYS

T-Notes last +0-01 at 139-21, hovering around Monday's best levels, although holding within the confines of the familiar range.

  • The space generally looked through Monday's pop higher in stocks, which many attributed to a combination of month-end related flows supporting equities, positive impetus for financials stemming from matters in both Europe & Asia, as well as fiscal hope on the Hill, with light steepening seen in cash Tsy trade come the bell. It is worth noting that the latest fiscal proposal from U.S. House Democrats, released in early Asia-Pac hours, isn't seen as one that bridges the gap between the two parties.
  • Little of note on the economic docket in Asia will leave participants to headline watch ahead of a busy slate of Fedspeak on Tuesday, although more focus is set to fall on the first debate between Presidential candidates Trump and Biden, scheduled for Tuesday evening. Elsewhere, the New York Fed will host its sixth annual U.S. Treasury Market Conference.
