FOREX: It was a quiet end to another busy week in the Asia-Pacific, the
greenback was broadly unchanged from yesterday's close in New York, with
investors marking-time ahead of the weekend. Dollar-yen trekked higher from
Y112.27 to Y112.69 amid larger-than-expected Tokyo-fix related demand and was
last at Y112.60. Aussie-dollar edged lower from $0.7856 to $0.7839, last at
$0.7844. Kiwi-dollar followed a similar pattern to its Tasman neighbour, the
rate fading from $0.7237 to $0.7208 and was last at $0.7215. Meanwhile,
Euro-dollar currently trades at $1.1781 and Cable at $1.3416, after trading in
respective ranges of $1.1777 to $1.1791 and $1.3408 to $1.3444.
