Japanese stocks are down in the afternoon....>

STOCKS: Japanese stocks are down in the afternoon session, the Nikkei 225 last
down 124 points at 22,557. Japanese indices are failing to make gains despite
the weaker yen, USD/JPY last up 14 pips at 113.67. The index fell sharply on
Thursday and has yet to find a bottom. US markets gave a negative lead heading
in to trade today, worries over the passage of the tax bill this week are
expected to weigh.
- The ASX200 is down around 15.5 points at 6,014, poltical worries are weighing
on the index as another minister quits over the dual citizenship issue, leaving
PM Turnbull in charge of a minority government.
- Stocks in China and Hong Kong are higher; Hong Kong indices are benefitting
from a reshuffle of the Hang Seng index. In China Alibaba are driving gains,
moving higher after record sales on Singles Day.
