July Government Tax Revenue Due, President Milei Travels To Chile

  • The government has increased a tax on gasoline and diesel, effective as of today, according to a decree published yesterday in the official gazette. The new amounts will be valid until August 31.
  • On the data front, government tax revenue figures for July are due to be released later today. In June, revenue declined to ARS 11.3tn, from ARS 13.4tn in May. Meanwhile, President Milei will visit Vaca Muerta, a vast shale patch in southern Neuquen province today, before traveling to Santiago to meet with Chilean President Gabriel Boric on the 40th anniversary of a peace treaty between the two countries.
