UK DATA: -July UK GfK Consumer Confidence Index -12 Vs -10 June

The GfK Consumer Confidence Index fell to -12 in July, matching its low back in
July 2016, straight after the vote to leave the European Union. Consumer
confidence rebounded after the initial post-Brexit vote slump, reaching -1 in
September 2016 before drifting down. The major purchases index for July fell to
-1, only one point above its July 2016 level.Negative real earnings and soft
economic growth appear to be chipping away at sentiment.
