US DATA PREVIEW: JUNE PPI SEEN +0.4%; CORE +0.1%
------------------------------------------------
-US final demand PPI likely rose solidly in June, with markets expecting an
increase of 0.4% following an identical gain in May. BLS last month said a 1.6%
increase in goods prices that was the largest single-month increase on record
drove headline growth, though that number was partially offset by a slight
decline in services prices (-0.2%).
-Core PPI should increase 0.1% after falling by 0.1% in May.
-Excluding food, energy, and trade, PPI is expected to rise 0.1%, the same as in
May.
