Klaipedia LNG Terminal Assigns Capacity for 2024

Lithuania’s Klaipedia LNG terminal has allocated 6 TWh of capacity in 2024 to four customers from Lithuania and Estonia, following the annual capacity allocation procedure.

  • A further 4 TWh of capacity from the spot market will be allocated over the next year, based on natural gas import requirements.
  • The terminal has a capacity of 39 TWh and expects around 34 TWh to be utilised in 2024. Most of the capacity had already been assigned to customers who booked long-term capacity agreements.
  • Lithuania relies on the terminal for all its domestic gas consumption, with the country being the first in Europe to halt Russian gas imports.
