Labour Close Gap In Polls As Exam Results Debacle Damages Tories (The Times)

The Tory lead over Labour has collapsed to just two points, its lowest since Boris Johnson became prime minister, after the A-level fiasco. A YouGov poll for The Times conducted in the aftermath of Monday's U-turn to abandon computer-generated grades found support for the Conservatives had dropped four points to 40 per cent while Labour was up three to 38 per cent from last week's survey.
