Q: What alternatives were discussed i.e. an envelope. How strong was the backing behind the decision? Did you discuss transferring PEPP flexibility to APP?
  • A: We have discussed extensively all proposals and alternatives.
  • We had a large majority to support the overall package. There were a few members who did not agree with one or another element of the package and so did not support it all.
  • Flexibly will remain an element of monetary policy under stressed conditions.
