Leak Found in Southern Druzhba Pipeline Through Poland

A leak in the Polish part of Druzhba oil pipeline from Russia to Germany was found about 70km from Plock, central Poland according to PERN.

  • Flows through that section of the pipe were halted and PERN are investigating the cause of the leak which was discovered late on Oct 11. The southern pipeline feeds the Czech Republic and Slovenia, but Czech pipeline operator Mero has reported no changed in flows.
  • Oil can still be pumped to Poland and Germany via north link of pipeline
