BOND SUMMARY: Little to rock the boar in terms of fresh headline flow, with
continued speculation about Kim Jong Un's health and the assessment of the
coronavirus situation providing the highlights. The data docket is very thin
today, contributing to the quiet tone of session so far.
- T-Notes trade -0-06 at 138-29+, slightly heavy as U.S. equity index futures
have moved into positive territory. The cash curve undergoes some mild twist
steepening, with yields sitting -0.2bp to +1.1bp. Eurodollars last seen +2.0 to
-1.0 tick through the reds.
- JGB futures last deal at 152.60, 11 ticks shy of settlement. Yields are mixed
across the curve. The main point of note today is the monetary policy decision
from the BoJ, due at some point during the Tokyo session.
- In Australia, YM unch. & XM -2.5. Yields sit slightly higher, with 10s
underperforming. Bills trade 1 tick lower through the reds. Some Australian
states and New Zealand observe public holidays today.
