LNG at Sea for 20 Days Falls 7.3% on the Week

The total estimated quantity of LNG on tankers that have not unloaded for at least 20 days fell by 7.3% over the last week to 3.42m tons as of April 21, according to Bloomberg estimates.

  • Volumes were still well above 2023 levels of 2.05m tons and the five-year average of 1.765m tons but down from a peak of 3.958m tons on April 12.
  • The estimated volume of LNG on tankers that have not unloaded for at least 30 days also fell to 1.562m tons in the week compared to 1.653m tons a week earlier.
