LNG Stocks Held by Japan’s Utilities Continued Decline

LNG stockpiles held by Japanese utilities declined by 6.43% last week to 1.6mn tons as of 17 March, the lowest since September, according to data released by the trade ministry.

  • Volumes are well below the five-year average of 2.14mn tons for the end of March and down from 2.33mn tons from 2023 levels.
