Loadings At Shell’s Forcados Oil Terminal Remain Suspended

Nigeria’s 400kbpd Forcados oil terminal has not yet resumed loadings after the facility stopped loadings on 12 Wednesday, amid a possible leak near a mooring facility tanker tracking data show.

  • Three Suezmaxes are still waiting to load close to the terminal.
  • Investigation into the leaks was scheduled to resume on Tuesday or Wednesday after delays amid bad weather.
  • Operator Shell is likely to have to defer several cargoes that were planned to load this month into August depending on how long the hiatus continues according to traders of West African crude.
