  • Lula add that Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro told him, "he will invite international observers to monitor Venezuela election."
  • Focus for markets will be the candidacy of opposition leader María Corina Machado who remains barred from the ballot.
  • Machado said in a statement on X today: "Everything that is going to happen in Venezuela in the coming decades is going to depend on what we do in these coming days."
  • United States Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) said on X a short time ago: "[Machado] received 90% of the over 2.4 million votes in the opposition primary in Venezuela. If she isn’t allowed on the 28 July ballot Biden must reimpose energy sanction on the Maduro regime."
