Malaysia To Hold General Election On Nov 19, Nominations On Nov 5

Malaysia will hold the 15th general election (GE15) on November 19, the Election Commission said after a special meeting in its headquarters on Thursday.

  • The nomination day for candidates will be on November 5, while early voting will be on November 15. The campaigning period will last 14 days.
  • Elections for the Perlis, Perak and Pahang state assemblies will be held concurrently with the general election, as expected. All relevant dates will be the same.
  • This also applies to the by-election for the Sabah state legislature seat of Bugaya.
