Marginally Firmer Start, Local Docket Empty

The Ringgit has marginally pared Tuesday's losses as onshore participants digest the move in US Tsys during the NY session as 2024 rate cut expectations ticked higher.

  • USD/MYR is down ~0.1% last printing at 4.6635/75.
  • On downside bears now focus on the 200-Day EMA, which comes a touch below the 4.60 handle, at 4.5979. Bulls focus on the 20-Day EMA (4.7270) which opens the 4.80 handle.
  • Foreign reserves ticked marginally lower to $108.5bn as of Oct. 31. The prior read was $108.9bn.
  • A reminder that the local docket is empty today and also for the remainder of the week.
