- Personal income is expected to rise by 0.3% based on both the Bloomberg
consensus and MNI survey of analysts following 0.5% gain in the previous month.
- Nominal PCE is expected to rise by 0.5% according to the BBG survey, while the
MNI survey looks for a 0.3% gain.
- Core PCE prices are expected to rise by 0.2%, the same increase as in the
previous month.
- Wage growth should be slower due to the soft payrolls gain. Retail sales
growth was moderately faster in May, providing an upside rise to forecasts for a
0.3% gain. A 0.2% gain in core prices would likely leave the year/year rate at
1.6%.
