Medvedev-Negotiations w/Ukraine Impossible While Zelenskyy In Charge

State-run TASS reporting comments from Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation and former president Dmitriy Medvedev stating that negotiations with Ukraine are 'impossible' while Volodymyr Zelenskyy remains in power in Kyiv.

  • Speaking on a visit to Vietnam, TASS reports Medvedev stating that, "As long as there is a Kiev regime, clown Zelensky, negotiations are impossible," Medvedev said, noting that sooner or later it would be necessary to negotiate. "Everything always ends with negotiations, and this is inevitable, but as long as these people are in power, the situation for Russia will not change in terms of negotiations,"
  • With Zelenskyy having previously stated that negotiations can only take place with a Russian gov't under the control of someone other than President Vladimir Putin, unless both Moscow and Kyiv change their stances the prospect of negotiations any time soon appears to be slim.
