MN BRIEF: BOJ Ups Scale Of 5-10 Yr JGB Buying To JPY725 Bln

TOKYO (MNI)

The Bank of Japan increased its scale of Japanese Government Bond (JGB) purchases as part of its efforts to curb a rise in bond yields, according to a notice released on early Wednesday.

The scale of JGB buying with a remaining life of 3 to 5 years was increased to JPY600 billion from JPY450 billion and the scale of JGB buying with a remaining life of 5 to 10 year was increased to JPY725 billion from JPY425 billion, see: MNI BRIEF: BOJ Schedules Fixed-Rate JGB Consecutive Buying.
