MNI BRIEF: BOJ Schedules Fixed-Rate JGB Consecutive Buying

TOKYO (MNI)

The Bank of Japan announced that it will conduct fixed-rate bond buying operations for consecutive days on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, the end of this fiscal year.

The BOJ will buy the 10-year bonds at 0.25%, an upper end of a range of -0.25% to +0.25%. The decision is aimed at preemptively curbing a rise in the 10-year bond yield following developments of bond yields overseas, see: MNI BRIEF: BOJ Again Offers Unlimited JGB Ops At Fixed-Rate.
