MNI: BOJ Posts Record ETF Unrealised Profits At End-September

TOKYO (MNI)

The balance of ETFs held by the Bank of Japan rose to JPY36.2 trillion at the end of September from JPY34.2 trillion at the end of September 2020, the BOJ said on Friday, with unrealized profits at a record JPY16.6 trillion, up from JPY15.4 trillion at the end of March.

The BOJ posted a net income of a record JPY1.05 trillion in the first half of fiscal year 2021, up from a net profit of JPY928.8 billion a year earlier.
