MNI BRIEF: China Opposed To US Abusing Export Controls -MOFCOM

MNI (Singapore)

China opposes any U.S. abuse of export controls and Beijing will take measures to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese enterprises, Shu Jueting, spokeswoman of the Ministry of Commerce, said at a briefing Thursday.

The U.S. should desist immediately, as using state power to suppress and contain Chinese companies was damaging normal business activities and market rules, said Shu, when she was asked to comment on the Washington adding seven China-related entities, mostly in the aerospace field, to its export control list.

Shu noted that China will continue working with Russia to promote bilateral trade by developing new growth areas including digital economy, green development, and biomedicine, as well as ensuring the normal order of goods passing at the border ports.
