MNI BRIEF: BOJ's Suzuki: 10-Yr JGB Rate Can Move Flexibly

TOKYO (MNI)

Bank of Japan board member Hitoshi Suzuki said on Thursday that the 10-year Japanese government bond yield can move flexibly in a range of -0.25% to +0.25%, based on changes in economic and price conditions.

It is natural for interest rates to move due to developments of domestic and overseas economic and financial conditions, such as faster QE tapering or rate hikes by the U.S. Federal Reserve, Suzuki told reporters in Kobe City.
