MNI BRIEF: BOJ To Lift Pace of Longer-End JGB Purchases in Nov

(MNI) Tokyo

The Bank of Japan said on Friday that it would lift the frequency of its purchases of longer-end Japanese government bonds to three times in November from two times in October.

The decision reflects the BOJ concerns about near-term upward pressure on JGB yields from high bond yields overseas and is designed to curb a rise in domestic bond yields.
