MNI BRIEF: Caixin October Manufacturing PMI Rises Above 50

The Caixin PMI rises back to expansionary zone.

China's Caixin manufacturing PMI registered 50.3 in October, up from September’s 49.3, rising back to the expansionary zone above the 50 mark, the financial publisher said on Friday.

Supply increased while demand turned slightly expansionary from contraction with the new orders sub-index rising to the highest level since July. But external demand weakened amid a slowing global economy, with the new export orders sub-index lingering below the breakeven 50 for the third consecutive month.
