MNI BRIEF: Japan's October Retail Sales Gain On Year

TOKYO (MNI)

Retail sales in Japan rose rose 0.9% y/y in October led by fuel and food and beverages, rebounding from September, preliminary data released on Monday by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) showed.

METI left its assessment that retail sales "are flattening." Retail sales rose 1.1% m/m in October.
