MNI DATA BRIEF: Q2 French GDP Revised Higher

French GDP rose by 1.1% in the second quarter, outpacing the previously-reported 0.9% increase, according to data released by Insee on Tuesday. That leaves output down 3.2% from Q4 2019, an improvement on the 3.3% shortfall reported last month.

Growth over the first half of 2021 hit 4.8%, unchanged from the previous release.

Imports rose by 1.7% in Q2, down slightly from the previously-reported 1.9% gain, while exports increased by just 1.0%, down from the 1.5% gain reported last month.
