     LONDON (MNI) - Its a reasonably quiet end to the calendar year data wise,
but the preliminary December German inflation data will keep traders at their
desks into the afternoon.
     The European data calendar gets underway at 0800GMT, with the publication
of the flash Spanish national inflation data and the German state of Saxony
flash numbers.
     Further German state inflation will be released throughout the morning
session.
     At 0900GMT, The latest EMU M3 money supply data will be published by the
European Central Bank.
     German Federal flash December inflation data will be released at 1300GMT
and is a bellwether release for markets.
     Across the Atlantic, there is little in the way of data, but the St. Louis
Fed's latest Real GDP Nowcast will be released at 1600GMT, with the NY Fed GDP
Nowcast expected at 1615GMT.
