MNI: PBOC Provides MLF, Liquidity Unchanged

     BEIJING (MNI) - The People's Bank of China (PBOC) skipped open market
operations (OMOs) for a 36th straight trading day Friday, although the central
bank injected CNY286 billion via medium-term lending facilities (MLFs) to offset
the maturing MLFs, leaving liquidity unchanged. No reverse repos are maturing,
according to Wind Information. 
- The 7-day weighted average interbank repo rate for depository institutions
(DR007) increased to 2.6772% at 0955 local time, up from the 2.5959% at the
close Wednesday, Wind data showed.
- The CFETS-NEX money-market sentiment index closed at 52 on Thursday, up from
35 on Wednesday.
