MNI: PBOC Skips OMO, Liquidity Unchanged

     BEIJING (MNI) - The People's Bank of China (PBOC) skipped open market
operations (OMOs) for a 28th straight trading day Tuesday, leaving liquidity
unchanged as no reverse repos mature, according to Wind Information. The central
bank said total liquidity in the banking system remains at a relatively high
level.
- The 7-day weighted average interbank repo average rate for depository
institutions (DR007) increased to 2.6343% at 0935 local time, down from the
2.5885% close Monday, Wind data showed.
- The CFETS-NEX money-market sentiment index closed at 33 on Monday, down from
37 on Friday.
