Monday 28 November:

  • NATO: Meeting of foreign affairs ministers begins in Bucharest, Romania. The meeting takes place in the same location as the 2008 leaders’ summit, which saw NATO open the door to eventual Ukrainian membership of the alliance. Ministers to reaffirm commitment to supporting Ukraine, and according to Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg, “…assess our dependencies on other authoritarian regimes, not least China.” Post North Atlantic Council presser at 1730 local time (1030ET, 1530GMT, 1630CET). Summit continues to 29 November.
  • Eurozone:ECB President Christine Lagarde set to appear in front of members of the European Parliament’s Committee and Economic and Monetary Affairs in Brussels. Meeting is set to get underway at 1500CET (0900ET, 1400GMT). Livestream can be found by clicking here. The eurozone’s inflation situation is set to dominate the talks, as well as developments within the cryptocurrency sector following the collapse of FTX.
