Modest Pressure, Familiar Levels

US TSYS

Modest pressure on T-Notes since the re-open on the back of renewed positive musings surrounding a fiscal deal, in the wake of after-market/weekend comments from the likes of Trump, Pelosi & McConnell (although significant differences remain between both parties), and U.S. President Trump's health seemingly taking a turn for the better over the weekend (see earlier bullets for further details). Contract last -0-02 at 139-12.

  • This comes after the Trump COVID situation & fiscal narrative dominated Friday's NFP release during the final session of last week, with T-Notes going out just off worst levels on Friday (which we have now traded through), while the cash space steepened.
  • Little of note on the docket in Asia-Pac hours, so headline watching will be at the fore.
