KIWI: Modest uptick in NZD/USD noted in early Asia-Pacific trade, aided by the
comments of U.S. President Trump re: U.S.-China relations & trade talks. Early
NZ hours saw BBG report on comments from RBNZ Gov. Orr, who noted that the NZD
has been "remarkably well behaved."
- Rate last deals 10 pips or so higher at $0.6888. Bulls look for consolidation
above the figure & Tuesday's high of $0.6912. Meanwhile, bears look for a fall
through the 200-DMA at $0.6851.
- NZ Tsy's half year fiscal & economic update is due Thursday.
